The Allergy and Asthma Diagnostic Office has proudly served patients since 1988, bringing more than 37 years of experience in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We have built strong, lasting relationships with our patients, referring providers, and our clinical team. Our practice is committed to utilizing the most advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques in the field of allergy, asthma, immunology and food allergy.  

To date, our practice has served over 50,000 patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We provide care for patients across the lifespan, from infancy through retirement, and currently welcome more than 2,000 new patients each year.

Our practice treats a broad range of conditions, including asthma, environmental and food allergies, and a variety of dermatologic conditions such as eczema and other inflammatory skin disorders. We are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and take the time to listen carefully to each patient's concerns. When appropriate, we utilize current, evidence-based diagnostic testing to guide treatment. We also offer advanced therapies including environmental immunotherapy, venom immunotherapy, oral food immunotherapy, medication management and biologic medications for the treatment of select allergic, immunologic, and respiratory conditions.

Dr. Juan Sotomayor is board certified in Allergy & Immunology & Pediatrics and is also a Pediatric Pulmonary Specialist. Our practice is supported by four board certified Family Health Nurse Practitioners who collectively bring more than 50 years of experience in allergy, asthma and immunology care. Our nursing staff and respiratory therapists are integral members of our clinical team. On a typical day, they perform a wide range of clinical responsibilities including, conducting allergy testing, administering immunotherapy, managing phone triage, providing patient education, performing pulmonary function testing, delivering asthma education, and instructing patients on the proper use of spacers and peak flow meters. Our dedicated administrative and support staff are committed to facilitating a smooth visit and ensuring a positive experience for every patient.
